JESUS KING OF THE STREETS

Jesus King of the Streets, an Evangelistic Ministry, was born as a result of a vision from God, that was imparted into the spirit of Pastor Michael Z. Skillings, in the late 1980’s. God has placed a burning desire for evangelism in the heart of His servant.

STREET EVANGELISM

Street evangelism is a very serious ministry. You have to be prepared – body, soul and spirit. You must be totally prepared to defeat the enemy. The only way you can defend yourself against the evil one is by using your offensive weapons – prayer and fasting. “And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. Mark 9:29.

You must strengthen your inner man daily by reading and studying the Word of God. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15.

Take heed – you will be in the enemies camp – you will have to battle demons. Yes, demons are real. As a good soldier in this Christian army, you must be properly dressed for the battle. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Epesians 6:10-17 Saints of God, prepare yourselves for this great work. You must be a bold ambassador for Christ. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16.

You must be committed vessels to plant and water seeds and God will give the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. 1Corinthians 3:7.

Your labor will not be in vain. God will be well pleased! Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 1Corinthians 15:58.

OUR STREET MINISTRY HISTORY

Pastor Skillings began evangelizing in the early 1980’s with a small group of faithful people who loved God and desired to take the gospel to the streets. For several years Pastor Skillings was faithful in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of his faithfulness, God allowed Pastor Skillings to give birth to JESUS KING OF THE STREETS – an Evangelistic Ministry that operates outside of the church building – in areas where there is known oppression and depression, drug activity and crime. As a result of JESUS KING OF THE STREETS MINISTRY, lives have been drastically changed, minds have been renewed and hearts have been regenerated. The key message of JESUS KING OF THE STREETS is Salvation. God has fully equipped Pastor Skillings to fulfill His Great Commission. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” St. Matthew 28:19-20.
